This morning, Microsoft announced the launch of their new iOS application, “OWA” or Outlook Web App. Specifically for Office 365 subscribers, this native application brings notifications and other features that are not available through the web application:
Jul 16, 2019 Schedule and Join Meetings with Cisco Webex Meetings Scheduler for Microsoft Office 365. The Webex Meetings Scheduler lets Office 365 users schedule Webex meetings or Webex Personal Room meetings directly from Microsoft Outlook, in any browser. The calendar invite shows the Webex meeting details, including a link to join the meeting. Aug 23, 2019 Office: A link to the Office home page where you can open other apps and view or edit files you’ve opened with any Office 365 app. If you’ve associated your Office 365 subscription with a domain (that is, you’ve purchased email functionality for a domain you own), then you’ll also get an Admin tile that allows you to manage users.

Windows Phone 8 comes with a top-notch native email client in Outlook Mobile, and we offer Exchange ActiveSync (EAS), which is the de-facto industry standard for accessing Exchange email on mobile devices. In order to better support many of our customers who use their iPhones and iPads for work, we are introducing OWA for iPhone and OWA for iPad, which bring a native Outlook Web App experience to iOS devices!
OWA for iPhone and OWA for iPad are both free, but require a paid Office 365 subscription.
Last month, Microsoft Office 365 made its debut in the App Store, but the reviews have been less than stellar.

Today, Office 365 is available for the first time on the Mac App Store, making it easier than ever for Mac users to download Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and the whole suite of Microsoft’s popular apps. Users can also purchase a subscription for Office 365 from within the apps, so they can get up and running instantly.
Office 365 for Mac has been designed specifically to support features that are unique to the Mac experience — features like Dark Mode and Continuity Camera in macOS, as well as the MacBook Pro Touch Bar and the Mac’s industry-leading Trackpad.

With Office 365 on the Mac App Store, these apps can now be easily distributed to employees using Apple Business Manager, a central dashboard where IT can deploy devices, apps and licenses. Now IT can quickly enable employees to get to work with their favorite Office tools across Mac, iPad and iPhone, with great new features designed specifically for Apple devices.
